The Delaware Phoenix Women's Ice Hockey team plays in the United Women's Hockey League (UWHL). Our players range in age from 22 to 56. Our home ice is the Fred Rust Arena at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE.

For the 2010-2011 season, we are looking for a goalie and an additional player or two with some ice hockey experience. Our season runs from late September through March. Although the Delaware Phoenix was officially established as an organization in 2002, the history of this team dates back to 1975. It was then that a handful of current Phoenix players, along with a core of players from the Pennsylvania Pandas, started the Delaware Bobcats and also developed the women’s hockey organization, which still exists today as the Mid-Atlantic Women’s Hockey League (MAWHL).

And for over 35 years, Phoenix players, past and present, have shown that hard work, love of the sport, and commitment to the team make for a very successful combination. Plus we throw in some fun too!
